Our Watsonville camps are the heart of Black Girls Surf’s U.S. movement—where community, culture, and the ocean meet. Home to Black People Surf Day, the Juniors Training Camp, Warrior to Water (for Black women veterans), and our inclusive Kinfolx Camps, this is where we train the next wave of surfers, build sisterhood, and heal through the sea. From the first paddle out to powerful progress, Watsonville is where we rise—together.
Senegal: Yoff BECAO & Virage
We’re a passionate crew of surfers grounded in the love of the ocean and the spirit of Teranga—Senegal’s deep tradition of hospitality, community, and care. For us, surfing is more than a sport—it’s a way of life rooted in love, resilience, and connection. Through our camps in Dakar, we share this passion with open hearts, empowering the next generation to rise through surfing, sisterhood, and the sea.
Nigeria: Tarkwa Bay Beach
Naija Girls Surf is our elite training camp for young women in Nigeria, focused on developing world-class surfers with heart and heritage. Featured on BET, this groundbreaking camp is also home to the Francine Owolabi Scholarship Award, supporting rising talent with access, education, and opportunity. Venezuela: Corrales Beach
In partnership with CV Surf, our Venezuela camp brings elite surf training to the Caribbean coast, led by BGS Technical Coach and Venezuela National Champion Rosaura Alvarez alongside her husband and coach Eric Mesa. Together, we’re cultivating top-tier talent, empowering local girls, and expanding the global reach of Black Girls Surf through high performance, passion, and purpose.
